Here is your holiday gift guide for the traveler in your life! Give the gift of wanderlust this year!
I use all the items listed below, so these are tried and true recommendations! Click the links or photos to be directed to Amazon, where you can purchase these great holiday gifts!
Imagine being on a long bus ride across Europe and halfway through your movie your phone dies, but you have 4 more hours left. I use the Aibocn Power Bank to prevent that situation from happening. It has two USB ports, a flashlight, and charges devices in less than an hour. I wrote a full review on this because I love this power bank so much, read it here.
I LOVE Moleskine journals. They are great quality, last long, and come in all shapes and sizes to suit all creator’s preferences. It’s great to keep a journal to write down a new friend’s number or directions to the next destination. Also, there is no better feeling than winding down in bed jotting down the best (or worst) experiences of the day.
I figure these might become obsolete soon since most phone manufacturers are making their devices waterproof. However, I love these pouches because they’re actually big enough to also hold a credit card, some cash, and your dorm key. So when I’m at the beach and I don’t feel comfortable leaving my belongings behind on the shore, I just stuff my items in this pouch and bring it in the water with me. You can hang it around your neck or wrap it around your wrist.
I usually like ear buds, but when traveling I opt for over the ear headphones because they’re better at blocking out the noise when in a busy train station or in a crowded dorm room. These aren’t bulky like most others because they fold into themselves for easy packing. Also, these are super affordable so you don’t have to stress too much about them getting stolen or misplaced.
I was actually gifted this adapter by a former employer and it was a LIFE SAVER. It has two outlets and two USB ports so you can charge all your devices at once! It includes all the attachments you need for where ever you are.
I can’t imagine traveling without an eye mask and ear plugs. Some dorm rooms never sleep and if you have an early morning flight to catch or just had a long day and really need some shuteye then you NEED this. Block out the light and noise for a deep sleep!
When traveling, you will spend a lot of time waiting for a flight or on long bus rides across country. A great book is the perfect way to keep you busy. I enjoy reading books related to travel because it immerses you even more into your experiences. Lonely Planet has a series called, Better Than Fiction. Popular fiction authors come together to write short stories about their real life travel experiences. Your traveler can download this book on their Kindle for free or buy a paperback for a low cost.
Lastly, of course, the classic gift card! Every traveler has unique needs and a gift card gives them the freedom to purchase whatever they need. I always ask for Amazon.com gift cards around the holidays because I use it towards my camera gear. Amazon.com is, in my opinion, one of the best places to shop for travel essentials!
And there you have it- my Holiday Gift Guide for the Traveler! These are all affordable gifts that I think your loved one will enjoy while traveling. If you have any recommendations or you gifted one of these great products and they loved it- I would love to hear about it!
See you on the road,
